TITLE SEARCH REPORT
This report is a search of the FAA records and/or the International Registry of Mobile Assets (IR) records on specific aircraft, engines, propellers or spare parts location. It provides the name and address of the present record owner, how they acquired the aircraft and the previous owner if shown. Additionally, it reflects any open encumbrances filed at the FAA, breaks in the chain of ownership, judgments or any adverse information revealed through the examination of the records.
DOCUMENT FILINGS
International Aircraft Title & Escrow Documentation Specialist's are unsurpassed in the aviation title industry. We pre-examine your documents to determine acceptability. If there are corrections that need to be made, we will notify you prior to submission of the documents with the FAA as well as the International Registry. This results in expedited issuance of your aircraft registration and perfection of your first lien position.
ESCROWS
With over 100 years of collective experience, our escrow staff is unsurpassed as an unbiased fiduciary agent. This service is used to facilitate the preparation of documentation and codification of all documents and funds needed to complete the transaction. Our escrow staff is your ultimate aviation closing resource whether buying, selling, brokering or financing.
1031 Like Kind Exchanges
International Aircraft Title & Escrow fills the role of a qualified intermediary under IRS section 1031 like kind exchanges. For the most part, aircraft retain their value and are depreciated on a relatively long time frame. Because of this, a like kind exchange can defer the payment of taxes to some time in the future or, in some instances, forever.
CAPETOWN INTERNATIONAL REGISTRY SOLUTIONS
CAPE TOWN EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, 2006
The International Registry in Dublin, Ireland has been established to file ownership, security and title retention interest in aircraft, engines and certain types of helicopters (filings on engines changed from 750 SHP to 550SHP). These filings have priority over the filings at the FAA effective March 1, 2006. Filings with the International Registry are legally mandatory. The United States declared that pre-existing perfected liens with FAA, prior to March 1, 2006, will continue their 1st priority status.
The FAA Oklahoma City Regional Office is the U.S. “Entry Point”filing location for the International Registry. Interest must be filed first with the FAA in Oklahoma City prior to filing - "registering" before filing at the international level.
